Really looking forward to coming up this weekend to see the game - but will it be on?!

The amount and timing of the rain that we have had since the Hyde match has restricted the opportunity to carry-out the necessary repair work.
The centre 30-yard strip of the pitch between the 2 penalty areas, is pitted with foot-holes and divots are at a premium.
All that can be done (as soon as you can walk on the area without squelching-up mud) is to push the sides back into the holes, leaving any "green-stuff" on top, and hope that the ground will dry out enough, before Saturday, to use a roller.
Fortunately, the weather forecast from now until Saturday looks promising, so when I've done my house-hold tasks this morning, I'll go and see what can be done.
Watch this space!

Sustained dry weather thro till Saturday will make a big difference. This match could be a go'er.

Hope this game is ' on '. It would be worth the admission fee just to watch Gassy and Darrhyl Mason. For me Darrhyl is an exciting player to watch. He has great pace. We've had quick players in the past - Phil Dean [ Whizz ], Dom Smalley, Osebi Abadaki, Sheldon Payne, - but none of the foregoing have the lightning acceleration of Darrhyl Mason. The only player that I have ever seen who had lightning acceleration was Ronaldinho at the Nou Camp for Barcelona. From a standing start, he was up at full speed after only 4 or 5 strides. Darrhyl has the same ' greased lightning ' acceleration which full backs just can't cope with or expect. I'm amazed Mossley let him go. Did he play against us this season either home or away for Mossley ? I'd never heard of him b4. Fabulous signing for us, and a player that likes to inter-pass.

Hi All,
Just back from "divoting".
If, as the forecast suggests, we will be "rain free" from now till kick-off, the game will definitely be on!
Still work to do tomorrow [hole-filling, pitch rolling, grass cutting, pitch marking etc.], but unless there is a "plague of frogs" from The Irwell, it will be a goer!!
Hope you are feeling better "Hackers". We have missed you!
