We've received this lovely letter from two AFC Bournemouth fans:

I am writing to wish all at Ramsbottom United the very best of luck in your forthcoming FA Trophy tie against AFC Fylde.
My wife and I are AFC Bournemouth fans and travelled up North on Saturday 12th January for an overnight stay and then to watch the Everton v Bournemouth game on the Sunday. We always intended to try and take in a random game on the Saturday, and whilst Wigan v Aston Villa seemed to be the most likely, by chance on the Friday before we set out we saw the Weymouth FC team coach driving through the Dorset countryside. After a quick Google we found who they were playing, then another Google to find where Ramsbottom actually is! When we found it was relatively local to where we were to stay, our minds were made up, we were going to see Ramsbottom United V Weymouth in the FA Trophy with (I must admit) half a foot in our South coast neighbours camp. After recent visits (following Bournemouth) to Stamford Bridge, Wembley and Old Trafford, it was nice to get back to grass roots football, and especially the warm and friendly welcome we got from the Rammy (we were quickly educated!) supporters and officials. And whilst the aforementioned Premier League grounds may have their merits, they don’t have fans from Clitheroe turning up (even though their game was postponed to accommodate Weymouth) or a steam engine passing behind the goal obliterating a goalmouth with steam and soot! As the game progressed there was no doubting that our allegiance lay with Rammy, and we could not hide our joy when Rammy equalised to force a replay.
Needless to say we were at the replay on the Tuesday night at Weymouth, and what a night it was! The team put up a magnificent performance and thoroughly deserved the victory. I had the feeling that the exhaustion of travelling to a higher tier team would show in the second half, but it was Rammy who took control and dominated the game to the finish. It was so nice to be able to join the 17 fans behind the goal and celebrate with the players at the end. It was a terrific night out, even if we didn’t get home until gone 11 o’clock(!). We have nothing but admiration for fans, players and staff making such an arduous journey and are so pleased you got your reward.
Since these games we have looked out for your results, and hopefully you can keep the current good run going and get a result against AFC Fylde. Unfortunately we will not be able to attend, we will be tied up with a Premier league game against Cardiff, but we will be rooting for you, and we’ll never forget our visit to the Riverside Stadium, or that wonderful night when you won the replay.
Good luck for Saturday
Lance and Helen Dalton

Just a fabulous and most interesting letter from Lance & Helen.
They should be well chuffed at the moment as AFC Bournemouth beat Chelsea at home 4 - 0 last night !
Yep 4 - 0 , what a result for them.
Cheers,

Massive respect for Lance & Helen for writing the letter. So glad they enjoyed themselves at the Riverside. Better weather then than it is now. Together with the Wimborne & Bideford supporters, they helped swell the ranks of support of the Rams.

After last nights result over Chelsea, they too will be on cloud nine. Good Luck to them for the remainder of the season.

Excellent stuff from Lance and Helen and makes you mighty proud of our club. The perfect response to those who can only crticise the club.

Maybe if they are in the area again we could invite them along to The Riverside as guests of the Supporters Club

A sound idea to invite them as guests. Its nice to hear and know, that there are fans around who can see and appreciate the ethos of the Non-League set up.
