Exactly 12 months ago, we had played 42 league matches, "amassed" 22 points and were already relegated.
This year, we have played 39 league games, amassed 47 points, (51 if you ignore the unjust deduction) and will probably finish mid-table - albeit in a lower league.
However, I guess that's progress of sorts.
At the end of January, we were 10 points off the "play-off" places with 3 games in hand. At the end of February we were even better placed; being 5 points off the "play-offs" with 2 games in hand.
Since then, we have lost all 5 of our home matches, gained just 5 of the 12 points on offer away from home and had the "penalty" of the 4-point deduction.
All-in-all, a bit of an anti-climax and thoughts of what might have been.
To all the players I'll say this: Go out and enjoy the remaining 3 matches. Don't over-think the game, play your football as a team and get back some of that Rammy pride; if not for yourselves, do it for the supporters.
Can't be at Goole but will follow on media. Have a good Easter. See you Monday!
