A nice afternoon and a solid 3-0 win for the Develoment/Reserve team today with goals from Greg Daniels, Tom Brooks and Aaron Fleming. As you can guess from the goalscorers this was far from a reserve side we had out, probably due to last nights game being called off and the lads needing game time.

In truth, we probably should have won by more goals as the attacking play was evident again with Nathan Webb and Aaron Fleming causing havoc on the wings and Greg Daniels looking a touch of class playing the lone striker role.

Jamie Rother, Alex Meaney and Tom Brooks were able to show the attacking side to their games too today and created several chances between them. No Thommo at the back, but Brad Roscoe really impressed and showed a maturity with real leadership qualities. The back four looked quite solid throughout, with the trialists having their best games for us yet, and Reagan Jarrett didn't look out of place in his unfamiliar role of left back.

Was good to see some of the Under 21s getting a game later on, although the game was well over as a contest by then, and they managed to pay testament to the good work being done by Matt Horne and Andy Hall at youth level

I know the opposition were a few leagues below us, but they gave us a good game and looked decent for a Manchester League side. As the old cliche goes, you can only beat whats put in front of you and we did that comfortably today

Onwards to Daisy Hill and Blackpool before the real action starts in a fortnight.

Come On You Rams :woohoo:
