If The Rams can win away at Glossop and Ossett Albion lose away at Scarboro, then The Rams will finish the season in 14th place which is the same as last season, albeit on a lesser points total.

Interesting to note that The Rams currently have the best defence compared to any team in the bottom half of the league [ places 12 to 22 ] Just saying ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Makes you think we've lost out in mid-field over the course of the season.

Just great to win 1 - 3 away against a good Glossop side. Always play better when Whizz is in the side as he gives us many more options when going forward. When you think we have players who are ex-FCUM, Darlo, Salford, Warrington, Curzon, then this away win is a result we should expect. Can't believe the Manager took Sam Madeley off when the forward line was ' gelling ' - a piss poor decision in my view - just shocking ! Jerome just oozed class throughout the game with two great strikes and proved to hot to handle for the Glossop defence. All in all a super team effort.

The last month's performances have all been entertaining and much better quality than the previous few months and this was a good one to end the season on. At the risk of sounding negative, it does make me wonder why we weren't able to produce such good performances (and score so many goals) from December through to March. Anyway, I'll save any further ponderings for the "End of Season" thread. Suffice to say this was an enjoyable game with a very enjoyable result! :cheer:

Maybe kinder to say what didn't go right as opposed to what went wrong, but what didn't go right was at the final count up, The Rams had the worst away record in the entire Div 1 North along with Mossley. Even worse than Goole who were relegated ! In no way could any team hope to get in the play-offs with an away record like that. Pity we saved one of our best away performances till last when away at Glossop North End.

NB This posting was posted under the wrong topic heading. It should be under Richard's topic about the 2017/18 Season. Cheers. Just don't know how to ' cut and paste ' .
