Hackers, You may be right, but if that was triplicated across the previous Evo-Stik and Bostik leagues (i.e. 6 leagues at step 4 feeding 3 leagues at step 3), then the new additional league at step 4 would be a direct feed into new additional league at step 3.
I assume that the ultimate aim is to have a 1-2-4-8 pyramid (for steps 1 to 4) that will make things much easier. [All that is needed is another 20 clubs that meet the grading requirements]

Just had a good shufty thro the FA and Evo-Stik websites, and can't really find any concrete information about promotion issues for this coming season 2018/19. The only reference that I could find is that promotion/play-off issues are currently ' under discussion ', so it looks like a wait and see jobby. However, it does appear that the focus is on the wider league structure, so Statto could well be on the right track.

With the changes to the league structure, it will be interesting to see just how things will work out for "The Rams" this next season.

[Last season, only the top 9 clubs in our league had positive goal differences].

So, on goal difference alone, how did our new league teams perform last season?
1. Runcorn Linnets +86
2. Widnes +50
3. Leek Town +30
4. Prescot Cables +23
5=. Colwyn Bay +19
5=. Chasetown +19
7. Trafford +11
8. Colne +7
9. Atherton Collieries -5
10. Glossop NE -6
11. Ramsbottom Utd -9
12=. Clitheroe -10
12=. Droylsden -10
14. Kidsgrove -20
15=. Mossley -24
15=. Newcastle Town -24
17. Kendal Town -28
18. Skelmersdale -31
19. Radcliffe -38
20. Market Drayton Town -46.

Change of personnel, leagues and teams make any direct comparison unsound, but one thing is certain, if we score more goals than we concede over the season, we are likely to finish in the top half!
It will be very interesting to see how Runcorn Linnets and Widnes fare gainst "higher" opposition.

Nice one. Some interesting stat's from Statto, that make a good indicator for the coming season, It would be really interesting to compare Statto's table against the final placings at the end of the season. I'm sure a lot of the positions will in general be mirrored. As for Runcorn and Widnes, can't see them bettering Atherton Coll's first season placing ( 10th }

Once again, the FA have done their best to mess everything up!
Promotion next season will be as follows:
As there are now 7 leagues at step 4, all champion clubs will be promoted(7).
However, only 3 clubs (not4!) are being relegated from the 4 step 3 leagues (Total 12)
Each of the 7 step four leagues will hold play-offs, but 2 winners will be denied promotion (making the whole thing farcical!) the 5 "lucky" play-off winners will be determined by those with the highest points average per game.
Apparently the National League is only relegating 3 clubs, so the Leagues at step 3 have creepily followed suit.
Surely, until the FA finally add an 8th Division at step 4 (and that's another example of illogical thinking), the ruling should be 4 clubs relegated from each step 3 league (16 in total), ensuring that all step 4 leagues champions and play-off winners are promoted (14), with the 2 clubs fourth from the bottom of the step 3 leagues, with the highest points average per game, being exempt from relegation?
Or is this too simple?

Simple, but absolutely the correct way forward in my opinion! 2 clubs getting reprieved from relegation is a far better situation than 2 clubs being denied promotion despite winning a playoff final. Ridiculous from the FA.

In simplistic terms what a load of bollocks, however not surprising with the dimwits at the FA.
