Not exactly ' On The Field ' , but anyone fancy a punt on England's progress at the World Cup ? This posting going out to Maxibo [ or as we know him 66 to 1 ], Darkside, LK, Statto, Tanners, Carlsberg, and all other forummies who fancy a bet.

Stake would be a £fiver each.
We could bet on the winner of the Tournament, but how about this : -
Bet 1 - England don't qualify for Round Of 16
Bet 2 - Beaten in Round Of 16
Bet 3 - Beaten in Quarter-Finals
Bet 4 - Beaten in Semi-Finals
Bet 5 - Beaten in Third-Place Play-Off
Bet 6 - Winners of Third-Place Play-Off
Bet 7 - Beaten Finalists
Bet 8 - World Cup Winners
Bet 9 - Donald Trump cancels the event

Any takers ?
NB - Could well be more than one Winner, so could be split jackpot.
All bets to be made on trust.
All bets placed and posted on our Forum before start of Group G i.e. June 18th 7.00pm BST
If ' no winners ' , and that could happen, then the whole kitty goes straight to Supporters Club funds

Love the enthusiasm, Hackers, and don't think it's a case of people not giving a **** :woohoo:

Think its more a case of supporters morale being at rock bottom and not many having any enthusiasm for the club as a whole at the moment, never mind the forum :(

I'm sure normal service will be resumed at some stage and the forum will be back to it's active old self one day

Big pity that Jonjo Shelvey didn't make the England squad. I'd have left Welbeck on the Heathrow tarmac. Notwithstanding the foregoing, I still think England will do OK in Russia, and my bet is Third-Place Play-Off Winners. I would also have flown in as gee-up men in the dressing room the following ex-players - Vinny Jones, Norman Hunter, Dennis Wise, Joey Barton, and Chopper Harris if he is still around.

Okay, I'm in. I'll go for losing in quarter finals.

hey hackers- sorry i'd already loaded up my Paddy Power* account when this was first posted and in addition to my work sweepstakes (Costa Rica and Switzerland, ffs...) that's all the money I'd planned on putting on the world cup (when the fun stops, stop).

England are currently 16/1 on there to be outright winners - for those of you unfamiliar with betting and odds, if you pop £10 on England winning the world cup, you'll lose £10.
Think LK has gone with the sensible wager there. Good luck!

Forget the Euromillions and our Lotto, the jackpot for the Rammy World Cup Sweepstake now stands at a whopping £10. Hackers says dip your bread.

World Cup starts today. Only 5 days left to place your bet. Deadline is Monday the 18th 7pm Greenwich Mean Time.
Daily Express - " A life changing amount "
The Sun - " Golden opportunity to get rich quick and piss all your neighbours off "
Sky Bet Sports - " Will be following the Rammy Sweepstake with great interest "
Tottington Gazette - " No big deal for such a paltry sum "
Daily Mail - " An all inclusive sweepstake where the Community Supporters have a chance to benefit. Superb.
The Guardian - " An innovative sweepstake that celebrates the very best of what 21st century England has to offer.
It's inclusivity, diversity, and equality. Oh this green and pleasant land. God save the Queen.

The later editions of the Daily Mail were actually leading with the headline 'Corbyn Loving Football Supporters in Fund Raiser for Secret Jihadi Terror Cell' :woohoo:
