Still conflicting reports on the Website as to where this Friday fixture takes place, and at what time it kicks-off. It's either at Lancaster with a 7.45pm start, or at Preston at the home of Fulwood Amateurs with a 7.00pm kick-off.
This needs clarifying by the Club.

Good Afternoon Hackers,

Friday's friendly between the Rams & Lancaster will take place at Fulwood Amateurs at 7pm

The article that went on the club website on Sunday is the most up-to-date details we have on the game

Thanks
Adam Clark
Ramsbottom United Media Team.

Stating the obvious really, but The Rams need to field their strongest X1 for this fixture against Premier Division opposition, and ideally play the side that will start the season against Market Drayton.
Good that the Club has managed to play on a neutral ground and a lot less M6 for the players and fans. Nice One.

How was it last night? Result looks a bit more promising, performance any good?

Wasn't at the match so can't rate the performance. However, a big improvement to keep a clean sheet against Premier Division opposition. Well done to the defence and without Thommo too. Roll on Market Drayton Town, am looking forward to it. Let's hope for a decent crowd.

I too am waiting on the verdict/report on how the Lancaster Game went but as most of us know the Forum only comes alive when performances/results are poor, only rarely do decent or good performances/results get a mention which to me means that if there isn't any vitriol on here surely means they played well..
The only thing I do know is that new signing Deegan did score but was adjudged to have been offside, if it stood would have been a 1-0 win.

I was at the match last night and I can confirm it was an excellent performance from Rammy.
both sides had a goal chalked off by the officials in what was a entertaining encounter played on a very well maintained pitch which couldn't be said of the pitch at Pontefract.
to a man Rammy displayed effort and commitment to fight for the shirt and in my view were unlucky .
The two lads from Chester both played a part particularly Alex Downes who played centre half although a diminutive figure he read the game excellently alongside Ryan Ellison .
Ben Deegan another recent signing looks a "Beast " of a centre forward and once fully fit will be a handful for any centre half in the division.
Hard to pick a stand out performer but if pushed I would have to say Tom Kennedy stood out looking calm and assured on the ball closely followed by Captain ? Dean stott as combative as ever !!.
