Seems we've been drawn away to meet Frickley Athletic. We've been there before , and back in the day Darkside splashed out and hired a mini-coach for the trip. When he and his fellow passengers had offloaded the coach, Darkside was fussing about trying to find a decent parking spot for the coach. On returning to the coach to tell the driver best place to park, the driver replied " Thanks our kid, but I'm offski now to mi next pick up, as you've only booked us one way ".

Just hope our new Management Team understand the set up at Frickley and how their team approach their home games. Well firstly, their pitch slopes end to end and side to side. I'm sure if Frickley win the toss they will play uphill for the first half and won't be arsed at all if they're losing 2 - 0 at half-time. Now here comes the rub. In games past Frickley have always had a goalkeeper who can launch his goal kicks and especially out of hand directly into our penalty box. It's like a constant aerial bombardment with the ball spilling here there and everywhere from defensive headers, attacking headers, mis-kicks and then their forwards pouncing on the loose ball and scraps and half-chances and lashing the free balls into our net. I reckon Frickley think they can score four goals playing down the slope anytime. Something we need to be aware of. It might safeguard the big fat cheque. £3250 this round.

Looking forward to travelling to Frickley this coming Saturday in the FA Trophy. Worthy of note that Frickley have scored 7 goals in their last two outings. Always a tough game away there, but think The Rams will go there in good spirits following our 4 game unbeaten run under the new Manager. All to play for.

No coach to Frickley. I hope there will be one to Colwyn Bay. It's been too long since we had a Rammy Rocket!

Yep as LK says should be a coach to Colwyn Bay and hopefully Chasetown which is the furthest away ground by my calculations.

Just had a look at Frickley Athletic's recent form.
On the 3rd October, they were beaten 1-0 at Lincoln United.
On the 6th October, they were losing 1-0 at home to Spalding United, but scored twice in the last 8 minutes (Szanto [2]) to win 2-1.
On the 13th October, they were again losing 1-0 at Skelmersdale (Prescot) but again scored 3 times in last 30 minutes (Wilkinson, Watt & Ible) to win 3-1.
On the 20th October, they were 4-1 up away at Pickering but conceded 3 goals in the last 4 minutes, to draw 4-4. (Hazel, Walton [2] & Ible).

The moral is that "the game is never over until it's over"

Nice one Statto. All info is good info and progress depends on the way you use it. If we end up playing down the slope first-half, then we'll also end up being under the cosh for parts of the second-half. I'm sure this game will go the full ninety and it would be a real boost to our season if we can get through this tie, replay or not.
It appears Frickley have re-named their stadium to the Bigfellas Stadium. Sounds about right to me as always seen them as big strapping Yorkshire lads, but The Rams have a better goal difference.

Great win. Kept going 2nd half, worked hard, bagged the 2nd goal (great finish as well) and never looked in doubt after that. Too many great individual performances to mention, but we look a completely different side from that at the start of the season - we’re a match for anybody now, long may it continue.

Agree with Mottty. A great away win and a great finish for our second goal - a well driven and slightly swerving shot that beat their keeper at the near post just on pace alone. Great defensive rear-guard action at all times with Thommo, Ryan and Sam outstanding yet again. Pleased to see Thommo back in the heart of defence and where he belongs. Not many teams travel to Frickley and come away with a clean sheet.
Was Gassy there ? Where was last week's scorer - Joel Bembo-Leta ? Surely not gone after just one week !
FA Trophy second round qualifying draw this coming Monday. Looking forward to the draw and the new Manager unbeaten in 5 now and The Rams unbeaten in six.
