This fixture has all the makings of being a cracking game. With Prescot having the perfect home record of winning all five of their home games, and The Rams unbeaten in our last seven games, this match should attract a good attendance gate. Hope all the Rammy fans who attended Volair Park on Saturday can make the return trip on Tuesday night.

As "Hackers" says on his ["Away at Skelmersdale" posting # 10636], a win against Prescot Cables will indeed move "The Rams" up to 4th position.
However, all teams down to 10th position (apart from Colne) will be able to move above us again if they win their games in hand - so let's not get carried away!
Last season both our games against Prescot were settled by the odd goal in favour of the home sides, so this will be the toughest test for the team so far under the new management [with due respect to Trafford], particularly with Prescot Cables' home record this season of Played 5, Won 5, Goals For 16, Goals Against 4.
Let's hope for a good turn-out to cheer on "The Lads".

Not sure about this, but me thinks the Rammy United server has been on the blinko for most of the day.
As regards Prescot tomorrow, need to be aware of their player - Chris Almond - who is joint top goalscorer in Div 1 West. I'm not saying we need to stick the nut on him as we don't want anymore yellows or reds, and hope Ryan makes this fixture, as Mr Almond will very soon find out he's up against the best two centre-backs in the league.

WOW ! What a result.
Just a fabulous away win and now not conceded a goal in the last 360 minutes of play, and extend our unbeaten run to eight games. Pity we've no game this Saturday and hope we can take either Yaxley or Wisbech to the cleaners for making us travel down there on a Tuesday night.
The term Resurgent Rams seems to fit well and there's no doubt that The Rams are on the ' charge ', and our 0 - 4 away win will post a big notice to the rest of Div 1 West

Bang, Bang, Bang, F******, Bang :woohoo:

High flying Prescot Cables, with a 100% home record, and we blew them away tonight with another excellent performance. We just seem to be improving with every game and can't believe the spirit these lads have built up in a few short weeks. As if this performance wasn't enough we were also treated to the Goal of the Season tonight.......step forward, Sam Ashton

Whisper it quietly, but if we keep this form up (and on the evidence we have seen so far, does anyone honestly doubt we wont?) then a promotion push is very much on the cards for The Rams

Get in there :woohoo:

Can only agree with Hackers and Darkside. A lot of the Rammy contingent before the game would’ve been happy with a point so to go to Prescot and win convincingly and play the way we did is an all round excellent result.

Bring on the trophy game now, the way we’re playing at the moment I think we’d fancy our chances against anyone so if we can progress again against Wisbech or Yaxley and get some cash in the bank that would be brilliant. COYR

Great feeling after a performance like that!
"Resurgent Rams" - sure.
"4th in the table" - sure.
But let's not get too carried away.

We are 6th best on goal difference and 8th= best on points per game (extrapolated to 38 games); but the current form is very encouraging and we are 3 points better off (after 14 games) than last season. If we can continue to keep "clean sheets" (and score goals from anywhere) then the outlook is very rosy!

Two tough league matches to come in the 2nd half of November; away at both Colwyn Bay and Droylsden; but the later will be postponed if we make further progress in the FA Trophy.

I know it's bad form to talk about £money but note the FA Prize Fund for winners of a Second Round Qualifying tie is £4000. That indeed would be a welcome boost to the Chairman's coffers, considering he's now funding a much bigger squad of players, and a current scarcity of income owing to the lack of home games.

Sod that, Johnny Boy :P

No stand out teams in this division and all those around the top end have showed inconsistent form at one time or another. After a few seasons of despair at The Riverside, I'm making the most of this and getting well and truly carried away.
