"I didn't get where I am today by setting quizzes on the Rammy forum"

Well done Tony and UkePunk for naming the legendary Reggie Perrin. What a bunch of old farts we are :silly:

Am curious to know whether or not our new signing Richard Brodie is eligible to play in this match, or is he already cup-tied having played earlier in the Competition ? Maybe PA can advise. Cheers.

Unfortunately not, he played for Rushall Olympic in an earlier round. :(

Bit of a bummer that news about Richard, but suppose he was brought in due to Nialle's injury, and to bolster our forward line generally. Richard certainly isn't a right-winger, but I'm sure he'll prove a handful up fronf in the league. Would like to see him play the full ninety alongside Jamie Rainford against Coll's on New Years Day. That could prove a ' wicked ' partnership. Hope so.

Heard on the grapevine that our Manager travelled all the way to Taunton recently to watch and ' cast an eye ' over Weymouth at their top of the table clash with league leaders Taunton Town.
Now that's what I call commitment.
Nice one.
Also, Weymouth won't be phased playing in front of a big crowd, having played in front of 1461 away at Taunton and 2217 away at Dorchester !
The worst case scenario for The Rams is that we lose the game, but the second case worst scenario is to draw the game, so let's keep things really simple and just win the game ! ;) ;)

Nice one Richard - always good to hear from you.
However, I think some Rammy fans would sense a bit of an ' I'm allright Jack ' attitude to your remark ! [ only joking of course ]. Furthermore, there could be a twist in the tale 4u. Read on.

If my second case worst scenario were to come about this coming Saturday, then I'm sure our illustrious Chairman and Commander would feel duty bound to fulfill the away fixture, and not give Weymouth what would be in effect their second ' walkover ' tie in the Competition.

Now here comes the rub.

Whilst I'm sure there are a few Rammy fans with deep pockets, who could fly 4rm Manchester to Southampton would it be ?, my biggest concern is with the players. Even though we have a depleted squad through players being cup-tied and even Ruben Jerome being possibly subject to ban, my main worry is that not ALL of the rest of the squad could get time of work for the mid-week game.

So what's the crack then ?

Seein as U live down that neck of the woods, prepare yourself for an early phone call 4rm our Manager telling U you'll be playing in the game ! I suspect you'll take up a type of Jan Molby role in mid-field in a Liverpool-esque fashion, being asked to ' boss ' the centre of the park, or maybe upfront in a Ferenc Puskas the Galloping Major style role. So what next ?

Strongly advise you 2 get down rapido to ur local Cobblers Shop and Chemist to buy some ' Dubbin ' and ' Elliman's Rub '. Tip 4rm Hackers - brush of dust 4rm ur footy boots and apply plenty dubbin, and apply plenty Elliman's on the night. U may stink the dressing-room out, but who gives a frick.
Good Luck on the nite. Have u got a hat-trick in that stocky frame ?
