After another terrific result last night, "The Rams" have gained as many points in the 25 games played so far; as they did in the 42 games played last season.
There are just 2 teams in our division with a better points per game average:
Atherton Collieries (Ave 2.185) and Runcorn Linnets (Ave 2.037).
Leek Town have the same as "The Rams" (Ave 1.920) and both Radcliffe and Mossley are slightly worst-off (Ave 1,852).
If we win our 2 remaining game this month, we will be in third position going into March.

No complacency though because Colne took all 6 points from us last season and we won 1 - lost 1 against Trafford. That said (apart from the 0 - 4 defeat at home to Colne), the games were all decided by the odd goal, so I am very optimistic!

Always good to read Statto's STATS , and plenty food for thought there.
It's now all about points , and goal differences , and points per game ratio's , when we get to the business end of the season.
Firstly , goal difference can only play it's part in helping a team get into the ' play-offs ' when teams end up with the same number of points , and after that goal difference plays no other part , but does have the bonus of determining which teams have ' home ' advantage in both the semi's and the play-off Final itself.
Points per game ratio , can only come into force , when comparisons have to be made , in finalising promotion issues across the various other leagues of which there are several.
The winner of the play-offs is the winner , and that's that - no other matters involved , but then as the new ' runners up '
that team whoever it may be , will have to go through the ' points per game ' ratio comparisons with maybe 7 or 8 other leagues in the Country [ not County ] and that of course includes Div 1 East for starters .
So what's the BOTTOM LINE ?
WELL THE JOBBY IS THIS - " POINTS MAKE PRIZES " - SO TO GET THE BRUCIE PROMOTION BONUS - YOU'VE JUST GOTTA - ' PLAY YOUR CARDS RIGHT ' - nothing for a pair in this game .
