Droylsden currently in 13th spot in the League table , and we will need to ' take care ' of their Speedy Gonzales their top goalscorer who is also our League's second top scorer - 18 goals to date. However , it seems to me that our Jamie Rainford hasn't been credited with his goal at Chasetown yesterday [ credited to Tom Schofield ] so that would put Jamie in joint 4th spot on 17 goals - nice one Jamie .
Also if a ' straight red ' is at the very least a 3 match ban , then the Rams must appeal Ryan's sending off at Chasetown y'day , and not come up with the well worn phrase of ' there's nowt we can do about it ' - Chasetown seem to video all their games - so give em a bell and see if we can obtain copy footage , as having spoke to Ryan y'day at the Ground , Ryan says he most certainly did not ' elbow ' their player , and the Ref got it completely wrong , which isn't a surprise , as the Ref had a shocker of a game ! Can't afford to lose Ryan for 3 games , especially at the ' business end ' of the season and our race for promotion , although he might be able to play at Droylsden ? b4 red card kicks in - hope so .

LATE EXTRA
Hope someone 4rm the Rams contacts Pamela Mullins @ Chasetown Football Club , who has captured the match action on camera , and maybe get Ryan of the hook for his straight red .

Well if there's 0 Members and 100 Guests on-line right now , then the 100 guests need something to read on a Sunday , especially as Murdoch 's News of the Screws has died a death Why no postings from other fans at the match y'day. ?
U all suffering ' jet lag ' ? 4rm the 200 mile round trip in the most shitty driving conditions I've experienced in a longwhile - almost 2 hours of continual motorway ' spray ' from those fackin HGV's

Can't make this away fixture , so good luck to The Rams and bring home the bacon from The Butchers Arms ground. Really need the full 3 points , and go there tonite with the best away record in our Division , and Div 1 East , and you could easily argue in the whole of the Northern Premier League , and at such a late stage in the Season , that's quite some achievement for Chris , Diego & The Lads .

LATE EXTRA

Not quite a 5-5, but nevertheless a classic game of Football!!
Tremendous attitude, application, desire & no little skill from a Rammy team that doesn't know when it's beaten.
Chris, Diego & Lincoln have instilled something pretty special into this squad.
Genuinely struggling to pick a MOTM, 1-11 they were magnificent.
Now on a more negative note, the Ref
The man in Black did his best to make the game a nonsense!
I thought he actually got the majority of his decision making correct but his constant desire to lecture the players & make himself the centre of attention was completely unnecessary.
We played 3mins of stoppage time in the first half without a physio coming onto the pitch, work that one out?
It was purely down to the time he spent giving the players the benefit of his "wisdom"
He'd be better advised to make a decision then tell the players to get on with it? The more the game is stopped the more time players have to bicker, it created bad blood where there wasn't any.
Hopefully we'll keep 11 on the pitch Saturday!

You are absolutely right BroxBlue...We must keep 11 players on the pitch this Saturday. We cannot keep giving the opposition an advantage every game and hope that we can then snatch a result with 10 men.
Turning to the match...I thought Eddie was outstanding chasing every ball and if only Ruben would take a leaf out of his book I believe he would return to the form we saw at Prescot Cables. Overall a great result under the circumstances. Let's hope Kyle is fit for Saturday as we are getting desperately short at the back.
With regard to the referees display and the way he let players continually try to interfere with his decisions, I wonder if the only way to deal with such issues is to introduce a 10 minute sin bin for those that do it because a yellow card does not dispel the goading. Sending players to a sin bin would instantly put huge pressure on those players/management/team and maybe it would eliminate the goading for the ref to book and send players off. Thoughts??

Andy, the "Sin Bin" idea is not a new one and is to be introduced at steps 5 & 6 next year. Hope it works and is introduced at all levels.
As for the game last evening, I concur with the previous comments.
This set of "lads" are showing such togetherness that you couldn't tell that we were down to 10 men (again). They play some excellent footy and with a little more confidence "up front" could easily turn more of the well-worked opportunities into attempts at scoring.
Not sure what happened for Droylsden's 2nd goal, but the "lads" put it behind them and played Droylsden "off the park" for the remaining minutes.
As for the performance of the referee - ???????????????????

Agree with all of the above comments. Thought we showed tremendous work rate and desire to keep going with 10 men for the majority of the game (again) and certainly didnt look 2nd best. But as jimmcdonald has pointed out, our disclipne will cost us points and these sendings off need to stop (i'm sure the players and mamngement team agree).

Think we look denagerous every time we come forward, which is very promising. Eddie's work rate was, as others have said, outstanding and long may it continue.

Last 7/8? games shaping up nicely now, got some big sides still to play, lots to play for - cant wait! COYR

Excellent result in what was a thoroughly enjoyable game of football - despite the referee's continued attempts to disrupt the flow of the game with a number of petty stoppages. Rammy started the game strongly but the sending off knocked us out of our stride for 15 minutes or so, but the boys soon recovered and we finished the first half strongly. It was a brave decision by Chris to keep 3 up front after the sending off - leaving Jamie & Eddie to get through an enormous amount of work in the middle of the park. Most managers would have sacrificed one of the front 3 in order to bolster the midfield and hang on to what we had - but credit to the management team for showing the bottle to still go for the win even with 10 men. Delighted it paid off with a winner right at the death.

Funniest part of the night was when Droylsden's Manager screamed at his full back to... 'give it to Herpes!'

Or as I found out when I checked the team-sheet later - Substitute Stavros Tserpes!

Well done boys! Great effort.

An excellent effort and the last minute winner was the perfect reward for a superb team performance. Hard to pick a stand out player, but surely no one covered the amount of ground that Steady Eddie did and Jamie 'Jammo' Rainford seems to becoming a firm favourite with the supporters.

Yet again, fantastic entertainment which even the Referee, full of his own warped view of his self importance, couldn't spoil. What an absolute dick :woohoo:

Following up on Mottty's posting , we have just 7 games left to play , and if we won them all , we would end up on 79 points. Enough to actually win the League ? I don't know. Enough to make the play-offs ? - most certainly YES. Enough as the play-offs winner to gain promotion on the points per game ratio ? Anyone of us could research the last question right now and could come up with a fairly accurate answer , but I don't want to do that relatively simple research of the 6 ? other League's as it would take all the fun away 4rm the promotion race , but at least it doesn't follow in the 7 ? comparison League's in the the country , that the teams with the most points will be the play-off winners , and for example a number of 5th placed teams in the other 6 Leagues may well be the play-off winners , and comparison with them could well suit us if we end up being the play-off winners. The last time The Rams made the play-offs under Jonno & Bern we were 5th in Div 1 North , and after visiting Darlo , we won the Play-Off Final at Bamber Bridge.
