It seems all quiet on the western front as far as The Rams and new and replacement players are concerned . Lots of activity in the Premier Division with Ashton bringing in eight new faces , Lancaster two new signings not including Sam & Thommo , and heaven knows how many new signings at FCUM - must be at least double figures to include Nialle Rodney from Rammy and Chris Almond [ Golden Boot Winner ] from Prescot Cables . It may well be that all these players have signed contracts , as according to Mark Fell at Lancaster there is no point announcing non-contract players until the 1st July when they are registered , effectively until then they are still on the market . That would explain why no news has been forthcoming from The Riverside .
When I say no news , I mean no news - not a whiff , not a sniff , not a snippet of info .
I just wonder if Centurion has heard anything on the jungle drums ?

EDIT
However , I'm sure the Management are beavering away behind the scenes , in order to build a first class squad for the coming season .

Hackers....I can assure you it is NOT quiet behind the scenes!
Fell is correct though.
No-one can sign non-contract forms until 1st July therefore anybody stating that they have signed someone can only do so if they are on contract.
Much is being done but nothing is going to be announced until we have the signatures.
I know it's frustrating, but it would be even more so if we started banding names about that alert other clubs who could then swoop in and take them from us!
As soon as we are in a position to let the fans know we will do, but rest assured much is going on out of sight!

The silence has broken, Jamie Rainford has said he's leaving.
That's a lot of goals to lose?
Personally, I thought as the season came to a close his effectiveness was decreasing whilst his moaning was increasing

Was informed by Mark McCann, last night, that Jamie was leaving and spent a very depressed hour until the penny dropped that he meant Rainford and not Rother. DOH !

So we're on the look out for a new forward now. Anyone know what Vinny Mukendi is up to these days ? ;)

Sorry to see Jamie Rainford leave The Rams for pastures new , and wish him all the very best wherever he goes . To say he only played a part season for us and was cup-tied for our FA Trophy run , his 18 goals for The Rams is a really good return from number of games played and it won't be easy to replace him . Also Jamie ended up as joint 2nd top goal scorer in the West Division with 22 goals overall , including two for Clitheroe and a further two goals for Widnes .
With Sam and Thommo gone and now Jamie leaving , the Management will have to pull at least two rabbits out of the hat , or sign a really big name if funds allow , in order to make good progress in what is going to be a really tough North/West League.

Also am curious to know if Greg Daniels is still on our books , as a very experienced and talented forward with lots to offer .
