Another tough pre-season friendly coming soon at The Riverside against ex - Conference North side Ashton United . Just putting the heading up , but interesting to note that the Club have been promised a major cash injection from a family that have a long standing association with the Ashton Club . Now relegated to Step 3 and will play in our own Prem Division and have signed many new players , no doubt with the aim of bouncing straight back into The Conference .

Prior to this Ashton friendly , The Rams pre-season results look like this :-

Pl 4 W 2 D 1 L 1 F 13 A 6 DIff +7

Considering that three of the above four games have been against higher League opposition , 1 X EFL , 2 X PREMIER , then to date that's a pretty good outcome for The Rams with a healthy 13 goals scored and a strike rate of 3.25 goals per game . Hope we can keep this standard up against Ashton United .

EDIT
Following the Ashton game the pre-season results now look like this :-

Pl 5 W 2 D 2 L 1 F 15 A 8 Diff + 7

That's averaging exactly 3 goals scored per game which is impressive considering the type of opposition played . Overall , looking like a good pre-season to me and would be great to top it off with an away win at Kidsgrove later in the week.
