Must admit that I'm surprised to see Clitheroe in the Top Six as our League stands today , but can't really see how I come to think that . However , when you look at the League Table , you'll find that they have the best away record of any team in our League . No easy games etc., etc

I see that Clitheroe have now dropped to 8th place in the League , having lost out to Cables at home in the League yesterday , but results yesterday also put The Rams down to 5th spot , but nevertheless still in the Top Five , within which we need to stay all season long after such a good start to the season . If we can carry our momentum on to Tuesday night , then I fancy us for all 3 points , even though Clitheroe have an excellent unbeaten away record to date , which is in sharp contrast to their poor home record .

A home win tonight could well move The Rams back up to 2nd spot in the League , provided that Trafford can take something away at Marine tonight . Both Marske and Cables in replay cup action .

Well The Rams are back up to 2nd spot in the League and how richly deserved is that . Considering that Clitheroe were such a busy and fast paced outfit tonight , this was a terrific 2 - 0 win for The Rams . A real all round team effort with our midfield dynamo 's being Jamie and Steady Eddie chasing everything down . Just great to watch and big congrats to Nic , Chuck , and Iyrwah up front .
Roll on Ossett.

An excellent result against a very good Clitheroe side. Some excellent personal performances but a good all round team performance.
With the team that is being put together, I would like to see more width which would open-up the "centre ground" for our strikers and midfield goal scorers.
Two really good goals tonight and other chances (albeit at both ends).
Can't argue with a clean sheet - well done to all the lads!!

Credit to Clitheroe, and their new manager Phil Brown, who look like a much improved team from last season. Especially pleasing to see them rebuilding with so many young players and thought they were unlucky not to go in ahead at half time.

Not for the first time time under Chris we responded, with a few minor changes and probably a half time rollocking, and fully deserved the three points with our second half display. A couple of injuries to key players coming into this game makes the victory all the more pleasing.

Sitting pretty in the league and an FA Cup away day at Gateshead to look forward to which, for a team that still hasn't reached top gear, is a more than satisfactory start to the season :cheer:

Really enjoyed the game last night, plenty of good fast interchanges from both sides made compelling viewing. Thought a draw would have been a fair reflection overall and concur with Darkside that Clitheroe are an exciting young team. Stand out player by a country mile was Clitheroes number 11- never seen TK given such a torrid time before.
