Its a shame that you have put the prices up,you will lose a lot more money than you will gain.

This is not about the £1.Its the principle.

Hello,

I have an official statement from the club with regards to this fixture.

The price of £10 and £5 has been implemented along the same lines as the Stockport County FA Trophy match. The police have advised us to charge £10 and £5 to save time than dishing out change, and preventing this match for having to be all ticket. The time saved from not having to handle change will ensure a smooth entry to the ground and no delays at the turnstiles.

I am sure that the multiple supporters of FC United of Manchester will appreciate that a fixture of this nature does cause other clubs extra expenditure, with regards to stewarding, catering and the extra man power that the additional amount through the gates require.

Therefore, the price increase (which is only £1) has been done to save time and effort and ensure everyone gets into the game without missing a kick.

The price has been raised from £9 to £10. This is on police advice or else it would have been all ticket. The same thing happened when we played Stockport County earlier this season.

Believe me, we are not trying to cash in on the large number of FCUM supporters who will be attending. In fact, I'm sure you will find you get a very friendly welcome and ALL refreshments, programmes, etc will be at a more than competitive price compared to other grounds.

Please dont come on here trying to stir things up until you get your facts right

EDIT- Beaten to it by Richard

But the club will not make any extra to pay for the extra stewarding etc.

Darkside,

They don't actually care about what the ground is like - they will always moan and gripe about a measly £1.

How many of them used to watch Premier League football before they got the hump and started watching FC United of Manchester? And they moan about a pound .........

The abuse currently on our Twitter feed from FC United of Manchester is quite incredible.

Can I just add something very interesting .... THIS IS OUR HOME GAME!!!! We didn't contact your club to advise of our demands prior to the original fixture at Stalybridge Celtic's ground?

I refer any FC United of Manchester supporters to the article with regards to the Stockport County fixture we staged.

And the abuse that our secretary has received from one of their hierarchy (someone called Walsh) has been completely unacceptable.

FC club officials today spoke with the league and GMP but neither could persuade Ramsbottom to change their mind nor have they any powers to do so.
