Rams drawn away at Ashton in FA Trophy

Ramsbottom United have been given an intriguing tie in the first qualifying round of the FA Trophy,

They travel to fellow EvoStik Premier League side Ashton United on Saturday 31st October 2015 at Hurst Cross.

Ashton have been in the play-offs for the last two seasons, losing out on both occasions, but the tie is sue to generate much interest between the two Greater Manchester clubs.

The two sides met twice last season - within eight days of each other in April following a series of postponements - with the Tamesiders coming out on top, winning 1-0 on Easter Monday at Hurst Cross thanks to a Chris Baguley goal before heading to the Harry Williams Riverside Stadium and returning with a 3-0 victory, courtesy of two late goals from Dale Johnson adding to Ben Deegan's 52nd opener.
