Daws, Pugh, Rother return, Russell signs

New Signings and Injury Returnees...

Having started the season in disappointing fashion, Ramsbottom United manager Jon Robinson is hoping for a change in fortunes as he welcomes Sutton Coldfield Town for their first ever game at the Harry Williams Riverside Stadium.

To boost the squad, Robinson has acquired the 93 day loan signing of attacking midfielder, 19 year old CHARLIE RUSSELL from National League North side Stockport County.

The youngster is highly rated at Edgeley Park, and has joined Ramsbottom with a view to gaining experience as County manager Neil Young feels the Blackburn-based youngster has a fine future in the game.

At the same time, things are looking brighter on the injury front. Defensive pair Andy Dawson and Lee Pugh look likely to be fit for the Sutton Coldfield game, whilst midfielder Jamie Rother seems to have shaken off a closed season injury and could well feature for the first time this season.

Good news for the Rams as they attempt to kick-start their second season at Evo-Stik Premier level.
