More new faces at Rammy

Ramsbottom United manager Mark Fell continues to put his squad together for the new season with two new additions at the Harry Williams Riverside Stadium.

Having re-signed nine of last year's team, the fifth and sixth new recruits signed on the dotted line as the Rams look to make an assault on the top places of Evo-Stik North when the new campaign begins on August 12.

A familiar face for the supporters in TOM WILLIAMS.  The pacey forward played 32 games for the Rams in the 2014/15 Evo-Stik Premier Division campaign.  The 26-year-old from Bolton arrived previously at the Riverside from Bamber Bridge and was a product of Wigan Athletic's youth system.  His non-league career has also taken him to Chorley and Clitheroe.

"Tom is a very good player who knows the club well, he's another with great versatility and can play centrally or on either flank, and he can also be used at right back.  He's had success at the club before, knows how the club works and that's important." said manager Mark Fell.

Tom added, "I'm very pleased to have returned to Ramsbottom, I certainly feel I have unfinished business here.  I've been impressed with the way the club is being taken forward and the lads have been great so far in pre-season.  I'm excited about the season ahead and believe we have every chance of success."

Fell also welcomed 22-year-old winger AARON FLEMING.

Blackpool-based Fleming started his career at Blackpool FC before joining AFC Fylde until he was 21.  A move abroad saw him play in Belgium for Lebeke FC before returning to Bamber Bridge where he played last season.

"We've got top class options going forward now and some very versatile players", enthused the manager.  "We watched Aaron twice last season and he was excellent in both games.  He has the potential to be an absolute star in this league and go on to have a good career in the game.  The only negative is the three-game ban he brings with him from last season!"

The 22-year-old will bring pace, energy and trickery to the Rams midfield and supporters may only have to wait a week to see him in action as the Rams travel to Tempest next Saturday July 8 (12 noon kick-off).
