Alex Meaney to head to Australia

It is with sadness that Alex Meaney, who joined the club at the start of the 2015/16 season, is moving to Australia where he will still be playing.

Alex has been an excellent servant to the Rams, playing 86 games and scoring 11 goals in his two and a half seasons with the club.

He joins the list of outstanding ball playing midfielders that have turned out in the blue of Ramsbottom and leaves with our very best wishes for the future.

Also heading 'down under' is Josh Kweifio Okai who is returns to his home country to take up a playing contract.  Josh made one appearance for the Rams off the bench after an injury effected stay at the Rams.

On the injury front, there is good news for Danny Taberner whose knee injury, although serious, is not as bad as first feared but he still requires an operation which is expected to take place this week, but he could be in line for a return by the end of the season.
